Steven J. Batta graduated from West Essex Regional High School in 1987. He attended Lafayette College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991. In 1998, Mr. Batta was granted a J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1999 and the New York Bar in 2001. James R. Connell graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School in 1981. He attended Providence College receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985. In 1988, Mr. Connell obtained his J.D. degree form Seton Hall University School of Law and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar. Mr. Connell served as law clerk to the Honorable Carol A. Ferentz, Judge of Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division, simultaneously participating in the Settlement and Mediation Program of the Special Civil Part in Essex County. Lauren B. Connell graduated from Mount Saint Dominic Academy in 1999 and from Hamilton College in 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government. In December, 2006, she graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2007. Ms. Connell served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh, U.S.D.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2007-08. Ms. Connell practiced commercial litigation at a large New Jersey based firm prior to joining Dwyer Connell & Lisbona in 2009. Raymond R. Connell graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School in 1956. He attended Providence College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961. In 1965, he was granted an L.L.B. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar. He was a clerk with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a Claims Representative for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company, and an Assistant Essex County Prosecutor. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association and the New Jersey Defense Association. Mr. Connell holds the rank of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Connell has been Chairman of the Bench Bar Committee of the Essex County Bar Association for 18 years. The New Jersey Supreme Court certified him as a Civil Trial Attorney in 1982. Continue reading

William T. Connell graduated in 1967 from Essex Catholic High School, Newark, NJ. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College in 1971 and his J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1976. Mr. Connell became a member of the New Jersey Bar in 1977, the District of Columbia Bar in 1979, and in 1984 was admitted to the United Stated Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Connell’s early career included investigative work for the Commercial Union Assurance Companies, and he was a detective for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office from 1971 to 1977. He is a member of the American, New Jersey, Essex County and Middlesex County Bar Associations, the Federal Bar Association, the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey Association, the New Jersey Defense Association and the Trucking Industry Defense Association. Donald S. De Dio graduated from Bergenfield High School in 1981. He attended Seton Hall University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 with “Magna Cum Laude” distinction. He received his J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1988 and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in the same year. Mr. De Dio attended the Seton Hall University School of Law, Inn of Court, and successfully completed a two-year program in advanced trial techniques. Mr. De Dio was elected to the Bergenfield Board of Education as a trustee and served a two-year term. He currently holds the position of Municipal Prosecutor for the Township of Little Falls. In 2003, Mr. De Dio was certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. De Dio is a member of the American, New Jersey and Passaic County Bar Associations. Continue reading

Albert C. Lisbona graduated from Clifton High School in 1959. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964. He received his J.D. degree in 1968 from New York Law School and that same year was admitted to the New Jersey Bar. Mr. Lisbona is a member of the American Judicature Society, American Bar, New Jersey State Bar, Passaic County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Defense Association. He presided as the Municipal Judge of the Borough of Totowa from 1978 until 2002. He holds the rank of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Lynn A. Lisbona graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1992. She then attended Seton Hall University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1996. In 1999, Ms. Lisbona was granted her J.D. degree from Seton Hall University. She was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2000. Daniel L. Martin graduated from Hamilton High School in 1946. He received his A.B. degree from Rutgers University in 1950, “Magna Cum Laude,” Phi Beta Kappa, and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force, Strategic Air Command, as an Electronics Countermeasures Officer from 1950 to 1953. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1955, and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1956. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and before the United States Supreme Court in 1972. Mr. Martin practiced corporate law as an associate and partner in New York firms from 1956 to 1980. He served as Secretary and General Counsel of the American Football League from 1996 through 1970. Mr. Martin was Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of several corporations from 1980 through 1993, and has been Counsel to this firm since 1972. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association (Corporate Law Committee) and Essex County Bar Association.

Mrs. O’Connor attended Seton Hall University School of Law earning a J.D. degree in 1997 and was admitted to the New Jersey State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1997. Before joining the firm, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh, U.S.M.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in Newark. Donald T. Okner graduated from Irvington High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He attended St. John’s University School of Law and received his J.D. degree in 1971. Mr. Okner was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1971 and before the United States Supreme Court in 1978. In 1994, he was admitted to the Colorado Bar. He is a member of the New Jersey and Sussex County Bar Associations, as well as the New Jersey Defense Association. Mr. Okner was appointed as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association in 1981 and serves as court appointed arbitrator in the Morris/Sussex Vicinage. He served on active duty with the United States Naval Reserve from 1972 to 1974. He is indexed in “Who’s Who in American Law, 9th Edition.”  In 1983, Mr. Okner was certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. Continue reading
